Pre-K

Our Pre-K program is designed for children ages 4–5 who are preparing for kindergarten. At this stage, children are full of curiosity, imagination, and ideas. Our teachers nurture that excitement by offering hands-on projects, nature-based exploration, and intentional opportunities to practice independence and collaboration.

Pre-K students engage in meaningful group experiences like morning meetings, project work, and outdoor adventures, while also having time to pursue their own interests through choice-based learning centers. We weave early literacy, math, science, and art into play and discovery so learning feels natural, engaging, and joyful.

Through a balance of structure and flexibility, children build the social-emotional skills, problem-solving abilities, and resilience needed to confidently transition into kindergarten.

Away we fly. . .

At the end of each school year, we honor our Pre-K children with a special graduation tradition that celebrates their unique journey at Nature’s Nest. Over the final months of the program, children work together on a meaningful project that becomes the centerpiece of the ceremony. This project reflects their creativity, growth, and the friendships they’ve built, creating a powerful symbol of their readiness for kindergarten.

Our graduation, held rain or shine, is a joyful and moving event that brings families, teachers, and children together to celebrate this important milestone. Designed to inspire wonder and lasting memories, it is a tradition that reflects the beauty of growth, transformation, and new beginnings.
